About the equipment

The RGT-MT18 is an 18-step three-phase power factor correction controller, with a touch screen and SVC (TCR) compatible.

• It is used for reactive power compensation (inductive and capacitive).

• If inductive reactive power comes from the grid, the controller connects capacitors.

• If capacitive reactive power comes from the grid, the controller connects a shunt inductor.

• The goal is to reduce the ratio between inductive and capacitive energy, and between active and reactive energy in the system.

• It allows effective stepped compensation for unbalanced systems.

What is an SVC (TCR)?

SVC - Static VAR Compensation is a static reactive power compensation system that uses thyristor-controlled reactors to smoothly and quickly compensate for the system's capacitive power.
