El relé temporizado se utiliza para conmutar cargas por etapas: calderas eléctricas, hornos, calefactores, etc., evitando así picos de corriente en la red y disparos de disyuntores debidos a grandes sobretensiones.
También puede utilizarse para coordinar el tiempo de conexión de varios dispositivos en máquinas, aparatos u otros equipos.

B - 10-100 seg
C - 1-10 min
D - 10-100 min
E - 1-10 h
F - 10-100 h
El relé temporizador se monta en un carril DIN estándar de 35 mm
