TRM-100 3x3 Digit LED Display Digital Overcurrent Relay

Three-phase current relay for load current control/limitation in the range of 40-100 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

TRM-100 digital overcurrent relays are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents, while allowing operational control.

Device usage and operating principle

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. Once the wiring is complete, connect the power. After power-on, the display shows the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Adjust the overcurrent value using the "A>" knob. The set value is displayed on the left screen.
4. Use the "t" knob to adjust the delay time. The set value is also displayed on the left screen.

When connecting the device:
- The relay is activated, the output contact goes to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
- If the current exceeds the set overcurrent value (A>), the device starts counting down the delay time, and the ERR indicator lights up.
- After the time has elapsed, the relay switches off, the contact goes to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator turns off.

Description

The TRM-100 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically disconnect devices when the maximum permissible current is exceeded.
It allows adjustment of the switching current, delay time, and return time.
It has three programs for returning to "working" mode: MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, and AUTOMATIC.

Reset modes:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED lights up.
- Semi-automatic mode. In this mode, the corresponding LED lights up.
- Automatic mode: The system automatically restarts after each overcurrent fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED illuminates.

Note: To change modes, press and hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED indicator will light up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the larger and smaller phase current exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds.
(This prevents damage to the system if a phase is lost during motor operation).

During an asymmetry fault:
- The display group for the two phases that caused the fault will flash, and the ERR indicator will light up.
- To exit fault mode, the device must be reset manually.

Note: TRM-50, TRM-100, TRM-200, and TRM-300 models can only be used with the current transformers included in the supply.
