Product Description

The SSR-09 relay from Tense is a modern unit designed for the automatic control of water levels in boilers, storage tanks, and water heaters.
It ensures reliable water supply, timely pump shutdown, and, most importantly, effective protection of the heating element against dry running.

The device uses capacitive electrodes to monitor the water level and automatically controls the pump and heater based on the current situation in the tank.

Operating Principle

The SSR-09 operates with two electrodes located in the tank:

1. Lower electrode (min. level)

   • If the water level drops below this electrode, the relay activates the pump and begins pumping water.

2. Upper electrode (max. level)

   • When the upper level is reached, the relay automatically disconnects the pump.

3. Protection electrode on the heating element

   • If there is no water in the heater, the relay will cut off power to the heater and prevent overheating.

This intelligent logic ensures safe and economical operation of the entire system.

Installation and Connection

• Mounting on a standard DIN rail in the cabinet.

• For stable operation, the manufacturer recommends using conductors of at least 2.5 mm².
