Interruptor automático estrella-triángulo - Los relés de tiempo estrella-triángulo están diseñados para su uso en el arranque inicial de motores trifásicos. Cuando la bobina se energiza, cambiará al cableado en estrella para permitir que el motor arranque. La estrella permanece conectada durante un periodo de tiempo determinado y, a continuación, pasa al modo de espera. Tras el periodo de espera, permite cambiar a la conexión en triángulo. Por lo tanto, proporciona eficiencia al reducir la corriente consumida por los motores que utilizan alta potencia durante el arranque.

El relé temporizador se monta en un carril DIN estándar de 35 mm.
