Pulse Counter DS-72A - 2×6-digit LED display, 2× relay, 2× SSR output

Product description

The DS-72A pulse counter is a professional device designed for accurate counting of pulses from mechanical switches, limit switches, PNP/NPN inductive sensors, and incremental encoders. It supports up and down counting, offers a combination of input functions and flexible output configuration.

With a dual 6-digit LED display and the ability to set PRESET1 and PRESET2 values, it provides a clear overview of the counting value and target value. The EEPROM memory ensures that settings are retained even after a power outage.

Main functions

  • 2× 6-digit LED display for current value and PRESET

  • 2× output relays (SPDT)

  • 2× SSR output (NPN, max. 30 V / 100 mA)

  • Up/down counting

  • Password protection

  • Adjustable input frequency: 20, 50, 2500, 7500 Hz

  • Calibration constant: 0.00001 to 9.99999

  • Selectable decimal point: 0 / 0.0 / 0.00 / 0.000

  • Possible combination of functions: sum, subtract, pause, input negation, edge combination

  • Adjustable "OFFSET" values

  • PRESET1 with absolute/relative value option

  • Recalls output relay status and value after power outage

Technical parameters

  • Dimensions / opening: 72×72×94 mm / 67×67 mm

  • LED display: 2× 6-digit 7-segment

  • Indication LED: 5× (OUT1, OUT2, Finger1, Finger2, Batch)

  • Inputs: 2× (5-30 V, max. 7500 Hz)

  • Input types: mechanical switch, PNP/NPN inductive sensor, NPN/PNP/totem-pole encoder

  • Reset input: PNP, min. 10 ms, 5-30 V

  • Relay outputs: 2× SPDT 250 VAC, 2 A (resistive load)

  • SSR outputs: 2× NPN, max. 30 V / 100 mA

  • Sensor power supply: 12 VDC, max. 50 mA

  • Device power supply: 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz

  • Consumption: < 8 VA

  • Operating temperature: -20°C ... +55°C

  • Altitude: < 2000 m

Application

  • Pulse counting from mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Production and machine monitoring

  • Control of encoders and mechanical processes

  • Industrial applications requiring precise measurements and relay/SSR outputs

Installation and safety

  • Panel/rack mounting

  • Use shielded, twisted signal cables, ground the shield

  • Keep cables away from the effects of electrical noise, circuit breakers and inductive loads

  • Protect equipment from moisture, vibration, dirt and extreme temperatures

  • Use an F250 mA / 250 VAC fuse on the power input.

  • Observe safety regulations and use appropriate cables
